On Friday, September 7th, Special Tree hosted an evening of blues and barbecue here at NeuroCare Center North. Blues singer/guitarist John Latini, a favorite of both clients and staff, brought his entire blues band, the Flying Latini Brothers. Clients, families and staff mingled and ate as the sounds of blues music and the smells of barbecue filled the air. Food support services staff served an awesome spread of barbecued chicken, fried chicken, corn on the cob, mac n’ cheese, Italian sausages, sauerkraut and kielbasa, fruit salad and an array of desserts. Our friends from NCC South joined us in the celebration. It was a beautiful way to say goodbye to a great summer.
Big kudos to Activity Coordinator, Amy Blevins for putting the event together, and to Vickie Lambert, Support Systems Manager and her awesome dietary staff for the fabulous meal. I saw a smile on every face that night, and it was an awesome sight! What a way to spend a Friday night!
