COVID-19 Update | October 23, 2020

Special Tree Welcomes Indoor Visitation

On Wednesday, we shared the long-awaited news that the state is allowing indoor visits at residential care facilities like the NeuroCare Center and our Residential homes. Our COVID-19 Watch Team has carefully reviewed requirements from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to ensure every precaution is taken to maintain the safety of our clients, staff, and families during indoor visits.  We're excited to provide this opportunity to our clients and their loved ones and appreciate your cooperation in following our indoor visitation policies and procedures.

As we have expressed many times, our goal at Special Tree remains first and foremost to do all we can to slow or prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to keep our clients, staff, and communities healthy and safe.
Currently there are no clients with active cases of COVID-19 in our system. After many weeks of keeping the virus out of our facilities completely, we did have one team member at our Webster Court Apartments in Royal Oak test positive today.

For this reason, our COVID-19 Watch Team has activated the following safety protocols to prevent the spread of the virus:
