Dear Clients, Families, and Friends:

As of today’s date, we are pleased to report that there have been no new staff or client Covid cases.  There was one reported employee case during the week of 2/14/22 as reflected on the company’s website. Quarantine restrictions remain lifted at the NeuroCare Center.

We are pleased to report there have been no new cases of either staff or clients testing positive for COVID-19. Quarantine restrictions have been lifted at the NeuroCare Center.

Special Tree continues to experience a high level of COVID-19 positivity at the NeuroCare Campus. As of today, there are 2 staff and 9 clients with confirmed positive PCR results.

We are hopeful the cases will resolve and we can return to our previous COVID protocols and status. For now, elevated precautions remain in place which include the following:

  • Clients are currently quarantined to their rooms
  • Employees are required to wear N95 mask w/surgical mask covering and face shields at all times
  • Client care in COVID rooms require strict adherence to full PPE attire
  • Therapy treatment will occur in rooms with proper PPE attire on
  • Visitors are allowed, with provided education on the current policies in place for the safety of their loved ones and the other clients. Please see below for details.

COVID-19 Update | January 27, 2022

Special Tree continues to experience a high level of COVID-19 positivity at the NeuroCare Campus as the Omicron variant surges in Michigan. As of today, there are 9 staff and 12 clients with confirmed positive PCR results.

Special Tree has been granted an emergency permit to keep and care for COVID 19 positive clients within the care scope of the facility. As a result, a number of beds have been designated as ‘COVID Beds.’

January 22, 2022 AMENDMENT to 1/21 update:

Urgent Progression in COVID Precautions

  • As of the time of this written communication, we have 12 positive employees
  • As of the time of this written communication, we have 7 positive clients

 

COVID Precautions have been elevated to include the following:

  • Clients are currently quarantined to their rooms
  • Employees are now required to wear N95 mask w/surgical mask covering and face shields as all times
  • Client care in COVID rooms require strict adherence to full PPE attire
  • Therapy treatment will occur in rooms with proper PPE attire on
  • Visitors are allowed, with provided education on the current policies in place for the safety of their loved ones and the other clients
  • Visitors are to screen, test, and wear PPE attire throughout visits

Special Tree continues to experience a high level of COVID-19 positivity among staff at the NeuroCare Campus as the Omicron variant surges in Michigan. As of today, there are 9 staff with confirmed positive PCR results. Currently we have 0 clients currently positive for COVID-19. 

Visitation at the NeuroCare Campus remains open, as state and federal guidelines do not allow skilled nursing facilities like Special Tree to restrict or limit visitation during a COVID-19 outbreak. However, for the health and safety of our staff and clients we ask that visitors consider limiting visits during this outbreak period. The following additional safety precautions are now in place:

Special Tree continues to experience a high level of COVID-19 positivity among staff and clients at the NeuroCare Campus as the Omicron variant surges in Michigan. As of today, there are 21 staff with confirmed positive PCR results and 19 staff with pending PCR test results following a positive rapid test. Currently we have six clients who have tested positive for COVID-19. In response to the spike in COVID-19 cases at NCC, the COVID-19 Watch Team is adding additional safety precautions to control the current outbreak.  

Visitation at the NeuroCare Campus remains open, as state and federal guidelines do not allow skilled nursing facilities like Special Tree to restrict or limit visitation during a COVID-19 outbreak. However, for the health and safety of our staff and clients we ask that visitors consider limiting visits during this outbreak period. The following additional safety precautions are now in place:

We were notified yesterday evening that five team members at the NeuroCare Campus have tested positive for COVID-19.  We continue to track our client and staff pending and confirmed cases on the COVID-19 page of our website. Visitation at the NeuroCare Campus remains open with additional safety precautions on NCC South. The following protocols are in place:

COVID-19 Update | December 30, 2021

Special Tree is experiencing rising numbers of new COVID-19 cases among staff and clients at the NeuroCare Campus as Omicron case rates surge in Michigan and across the nation. We were notified today of four new positive COVID-19 cases for staff and one new positive case for a client on NCC South. Visitation at the NeuroCare Campus remains open with additional precautions on NCC South.  Outbreak testing will continue for clients and staff regardless of vaccination status until we are COVID-19 free for 14 consecutive days. We continue to track our client and staff pending and confirmed cases on the COVID-19 page of our website.
