NeuroCare Center Administrator Opportunity

LOCATION: NeuroCare Campus in Romulus, Michigan with 39-bed licensed SNF and 15-bed and 6-bed AFC Residential Units

SHIFT: Full-time

Special Tree has a rare opportunity for a NeuroCare Administrator to lead our team at our specialty rehabilitation campus in Romulus, Michigan.

SUMMARY

Special Tree Rehabilitation System has retained the Whittaker Group to conduct a search for a service-oriented Administrator to lead our NeuroCare Center in Romulus, Michigan.

The NeuroCare Center includes 60 total beds—39 Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and 21 Adult Foster Care (AFC)—with an average census of 57–60 beds. The center, situated on a 23-acre campus, provides 24/7 skilled nursing and respiratory care, advanced rehabilitation services, and a uniquely serene healing environment. Patients are provided with extraordinary opportunities for healing and recovery through outcomes-based rehabilitation, advanced care, and some of the latest technology available. Special Tree has been CARF-accredited since 1993.

THE ROLE:

The Administrator reports directly to the CEO and has the following essential responsibilities:

  • Achieve and maintain compliance with the Michigan Department of Community Health rules and regulations in order to maintain and renew the NeuroCare Center facility license

  • Participate in establishing, implementing and maintaining inpatient policies and procedures to meet the standards of CARF, OSHA, MIOSHA, and other regulatory bodies and accreditation processes

  • Assure professional and respectful behavior of staff toward clients, visitors, each other, and anyone affiliated with NeuroCare Center

  • Be readily available to clients, families, and staff for consultation

  • Work with DON to ensure that the clients/customers receive adequate quality nursing services

  • Work with NeuroCare Center case managers to ensure that the clients and customers receive quality case management services

  • Work with DON, dietary manager/housekeeping & laundry manager, activities coordinator and HR to ensure that staffing needs are met

  • Work with Facilities Services to ensure proper maintenance of the facility, grounds, and equipment and to ensure that the facility is always ready for licensing inspections, etc.

  • Prepare, monitor and manage annual budget based on the estimates of all expenditures and revenue

  • Complete required education & training learning hours annually

  • Engage in long range planning for the NeuroCare Center to ensure that the business unit remains responsive to current health care needs and trends

The Administrator will have a bachelor’s degree, and either a current nursing home administrator license or ability to obtain one quickly, and excellent communication skills.
